Dimora Casa Eugenia is a historic residence in the province of Arezzo and is the ideal starting point for discovering the wonderful regions of Tuscany and Arezzo. Known and appreciated throughout the world for its scenic beauty and nature, Tuscany is a rich region, densely populated by villages and historical testimonies which deserve to be visited with patience and with pleasure. The town of Loro Ciuffenna thus becomes an ideal crossroad for ones journey of exploration as it is located in the heart of Tuscany, in the enchanting area of the Valdarno. Valdarno is a valley that winds along the Arno River, as the name suggests, and runs between Chianti and Pratomagno. Arezzo and Fiesole are large Etruscan centers connected by the ancient Cassia road which crosses it and the surrounding ancient villages, characterized by gentle and seductive hilly landscapes. Vineyards, olive groves and medieval villages are the natural and historical attractions of the area, while the Valdarno possesses great artistic-cultural value, drawing travelers and historians internationally. We are in a region admired throughout the world and Loro Ciuffenna is a little jewel set on the upper bank of the Arno River in a terraced position, located on the south-western slopes of the Pratomagno Mountain.
The area is ideal for visits to art cities such as Arezzo, Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Assisi, Perugia, San Gimignano, Chiusi della Verna, Cortona, Pienza, Sansepolcro, Anghiari … and the capital of the region, magical Florence. Loro Ciuffenna is rich in architectural and natural beauty, among which stands out the Pratomagno, which is 1,591 meters high and is the mountain between Arezzo and Fiesole, an area that can be discovered with interesting trekking paths and with lovely walks among the oak and beech forests. Nature lovers can also visit the Balze of Terranuova Bracciolini (visible in the background of the masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci, La Gioconda), a spectacular geological phenomenon forming a canyon that recalls western films. There are many enchanting places to visit near Loro Ciuffenna, such as the villages Gorgiti and San Clemente in Valle, Rocca Ricciarda with its dramatic setting on a rockspur overlooking the lush green of the Tuscan hills, the ancient Poggio di Loro, a castle which dates back to 1300 and is located at the adjacent hill at a height of 624 meters and Trappola, an oasis of peace. Another town to visit is the Borro, an ancient little jewel from the middle ages, now owned by the Ferragamo family.
The area offers culinary, cultural, artistic, natural and religious itineraries: guided excursions on foot, mountain bikes or on horseback, visits to the castles of Chianti, tastings of wine and oil, fashion shopping (Prada – The Mall with Armani, Gucci, Tod’s, Scervino, Prada, Church’s – La Cuoieria Fiorentina – Dolce and Gabbana) and relaxation at the nearby spa centers (Rapolano Terme and Chianciano Terme).
